Oculoplastics Association of India (OPAI) is a key forum taking comprehensive initiative in fostering and augmenting the progress of the Oculoplastic services at the national and international forefront of eye care services .To meet the ends of its goals, OPAI promotes Oculoplasty as a special and essential genre of specialty in eye care services through its multifarious activities which includes, continual medical education by organizing seminars, symposia and workshops of interest to its members, providing help and assistance to members of the Association especially in academic and research activities, publish news letters of the Association at frequent intervals, assisting in publication of books and journals by its members and giving prizes and awards for excellent work done in the field of Oculoplastics, which has resulted in promotion of best practices and advocacy.
Being the Chairman of Local Organizing committee, it is a proud privilege and pleasure on our part to host the 30th Annual Conference of Oculoplastics Association of India on 6th, 7th and 8th September 2019. We are delighted to receive our guests/delegates on the said grand occasion that will comprise of professionals, associates, eye care institutions, corporate, policy makers, Govt. representatives and many others who will assemble under the same roof with the sole objective of strengthening and augmenting the Oculoplasctic services across the country and abroad as well.
Attending faculties and delegates will get an opportunity to visit Guwahati famous for its ancient heritage, tradition and culture. North Eastern states are the most beautiful part of the country surrounded by mountain ranges and wealthy forests, green villages, tea gardens, fertile land, oil and garlanded by mighty river Brahmaputra. Rich diversity of societies in cultures, festivals, colorful dresses and languages are unique, all existing in a great harmony. Human liberty and women empowerment are unique characteristics of the social culture. The archeological heritage of North-East India is fascinating and yet to be fully explored and appreciated. Delegates may also find some time to visit not only Assam but also the other North Eastern states, and enjoy the scenic beauties.
All members of the organizing committee and associates are working hard to arrange the conference in the best possible way. I wish the effort will be fruitful and will result in a milestone conference. We look forward to meet all of you and wish all of you happy and comfortable stay as well as academic interactions for betterment and progress of the Oculoplastic services for the benefit of mankind.
